Home of the PGA TOUR Mexico Open at Vidanta
Vidanta is proud to host the PGA TOUR Mexico Open at Vidanta at the beautiful Vidanta Vallarta Course from spring 2022 through spring 2024. This annual event brings the world's top golfers to Mexico to participate in one of the country's most-watched sporting events. In 2022, the tournament's top prize was taken home by PGA Masters Champion Jon Rahm. And six-time PGA TOUR winner Tony Finau won in 2023.

The PGA Tour -Mexico Open was held at Vidanta this spring. Just when you thought things couldn’t get any more exciting, the news just broke that Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta will be hosting the Mexico Open for the next three years! All of this comes after the recent addition of the new Vidanta Academy of Golf at Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta, Which rounds off a robust assortment of golf offerings and cements the resort’s place as one of the best golf destinations in all of Latin America. This gorgeous Greg Norman-designed golf course has some of the best views in the world.
This year 132 golf professionals competed at the Vidanta Vallarta golf course for a $7.3 million dollar purse and 500 FedExCup points.
The Vidanta Vallarta golf course will represent a new challenge for players. The Mexico Open at Vidanta expected become the best sporting and social event in Latin America.

PGA TOUR Latin American
PGA TOUR Latinoamérica was hosted at the gorgeous El Tigre Golf Club for the second year in a row.
This event will have 62 players who qualified through the 13 tournaments co-sanctioned by the circuit in Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Venezuela.
In addition to a $40,000 USD prize pool, the field will battle for memberships for the upcoming PGA TOUR Latinoamérica season. Players who finish the week in the top-5 will secure full status, while those who place between 6th and 10th will be exempt for the first half of the schedule. For their part, those who finish between 11th and 15th place, in addition to those between 16th and 20th and tied, will receive two different types of categories with conditional status.

Best Seaside course- Punta Mita Pacifico & Punta Mita Bahia
The first course, Punta Mita Pacifico, was built in 1999. Boasting the only natural ocean island par-3 hole in the world. “The Tail of the Whale” is an optional par-3. It features an actual island green, set in the ocean and requires a carry of at least 170 yards. The green is accessible only via an amphibious vehicle, surf permitting. Too choppy, you play the landlocked third.
Punta Mita Bahia, built in 2009, offers challenging greens and spectacular Oceanside holes. Punta Mita proudly features 36 holes of Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course. Set on 380 acres of peninsula bordered by both the Pacific Ocean and beautiful Banderas Bay, golf in Punta Mita is truly a spectacular setting.
The private Punta Mita Golf Club is open exclusively to Club Punta Mita Members and their guests, and guests of the Four Seasons and St. Regis resorts. Best wildlife at Marina Vallarta Golf Club
Marina Vallarta with its Croc Sanctuary. Take a Mulligan if you happen to chip into their pen.
The golf course at Marina Vallarta is a challenging one, perhaps the most challenging of all the courses in the area. Fairways are narrow and there are plenty of water hazards throughout the course, including crocodiles!

Want to shave a few bucks off the green fees as well as your scorecard, then it’s the Greg Norman course, Litiba Gold. Considered the best golf value in Puerto Vallarta.
Developed by Greg Norman, this 18 hole golf course offers a beautiful environment where the flora of the region combines perfectly with its modern design. If you want to experience a golf vacation in Mexico, Litibú is an excellent place to discover all the natural wonders of the Mexican Pacific.
Seven holes are "links” type, 8 holes lie within the forest ecosystem and 2 more are "signature" holes. They are located near the beaches of Punta de Mita. It presents a constant challenge since it has 130 bunkers. Its impeccable balance between environment and aesthetics make the game worthwhile.

Best Jungle Course- Tom Weiskopf’s at Vista Vallarta.
Feeling adventurous this beautiful course is cut through dense jungle in the hills above Puerto Vallarta, as is the other course there, a Tom Weiskopf design that includes a great match-settling hole, the drivable par-4 18th
There are two golf courses at Vista Vallarta by Jack Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf, but they do not offer a special membership package for those who may be here just a few months out of the year, only full-year memberships.

Looking for thrills? Hop on your cart and attack the Vidanta Golf Club.
There are two great courses at Vidanta in Nuevo Vallarta, a Greg Norman and a Jack Nicklaus. As well, there is a 10-hole, par three walking course that is planned for the near future. During high season, however, tee times are often reserved for guests and owners only of Vidanta so it can be difficult to get tee times. Your odds are better during the off season, if you are in town. It should be noted that Vidanta has an excellent golf academy with twin and putting analysis, lessons, club fitting and actual on-the-course lessons available. Longest Drive El Tigre
Think that new driver is going to increase your drive? Try it out on the 621-yard ego crusher at El Tigre.
Located in Nuevo Vallarta, El Tigre Club de Golf enjoys views that stretch to the western Sierra Madre. The design team of Robert Von Hagge, Mike Smelek, and Rick Baril transformed what used to be a flat piece of land into a lush, tropical paradise. Nine water features were added, which come into play on 12 holes, and the terrain was molded and contoured to provide interesting elevation changes. The golf course's proximity to the ocean means that it is also subject to strong prevailing winds, especially in the early evening. The course finishes with two of its most difficult holes. El Tigre Club de Golf's par-3 17th has plenty of sand and water in play to prepare you for the beastly par-5 finishing hole. This 621-yard monster is practically a par 6 with water down the entire left side and a green surrounded by sand.

Flamingos offers reasonable priced golf and they do so in pesos. They offer a number of very flexible program: you can pay buy the day, buy a package rounds or purchase a six-month membership. The local daily rate is actually a very good one, at $1,290.00 pesos.
Opened in 1978, Flamingos Golf Club was the first golf course in the Bay of Banderas and it has since become a local favorite. The course sprawls across a landscape covered with over 1,500 palm trees. There are also hundreds of different trees, including parota and eucalyptus, that frame the challenging greens. The narrow, subtle sloped fairways provide scenic paths that weave through the natural lagoons, estuaries, and marshes. There are nine water hazards and over 40 bunkers that come into play throughout the golf course. The layout will test your target golf skills and good strategizing will be greatly rewarded, which includes not only your ball placement on the fairways but also proper club selection, especially on the holes that are more affected by the strong coastal breezes.
